Commander's Check-In
Hugh S. Gregory Reporting

Today was a clear day that clouded over by lunch time. We received our first RST (Remote Science Team) EVA request last night and pending an improvement in the health of our ill crew member, we will attempt it tomorrow. The morning was devoted to research on Geology. This afternoon we finalized our image selections and got them up to the web and changed the oil on the China Special Generator. We are all very tired but in good spirits and the RST request has energized us all. However I did draw the line at any further clean up downstairs in the Lab as it is keeping us from more pressing issues that are on Paul's punch list and the more pressing problems that have arisen since we became MDRS's first three man crew.

The following reports will be sent up to the satellite tonight for distribution.
  1. Commanders Report
  2. Engineering Report
  3. GreenHab Report
Following what I suspect will be a small celebration of my 50th Birthday at supper time, it is my intent as Commander that tonight will be a movie night (after repeated attempts). We need a night off of the computers to allow our brains to reintegrate. Tomorrow's plans are an RST requested EVA to Candor Chasma which depends of course on the weather and whether or not our ill crew member is up to a cold ATV ride.

Warmest Regards! Hugh S. Gregory,
Mission Commander, Pisces One Expedition, MDRS Crew 35
