Log Book for March 23, 2006
Commander's Check-In
Dr. Jan Osburg Reporting
Crew Physical Status: Apart from a few sore throats and residual fatigue, everyone is doing OK.
Brief Narrative of Today's Results: Taking it easy in the morning helped everyone get over the desert fatigue. The GSM installation made some progress. In the afternoon we did our first motorized EVA (see below). Now we are preparing pizza for dinner and will start to analyze the EVA measurements.
EVA: EVA 02 - motorized EVA (Jan and Anne) from the hab north on Lowell Highway to waypoint Family Crest. ATVs and radios worked great - we had the repeater up on the balloon and APRS was tracking our positions.
Plans for Tomorrow: Continue hab upgrades, process EVA 02 results, do EVA 03 (first EVA for Emily and Meryl).
Report Transmission Schedule:
- Today's engineering report has been transmitted via the web interface.
- The other reports (CDR, HSO, SCI, UPG, JNL, EVA) will be transmitted between 1930h and 2030h.
Miscellaneous: We are having a blast!
Support Requested: thermometer for first aid kit, heavy-duty trashbags
More to follow.
