Educators Report
Jared Szymanoski Reporting

Today was the first day back to school from the weekend. We had another long day planned. Iahu-Anat was working on her French homework and it was very difficult considering I could not speak the language. Artemis had to assist in the translation. Angie started her research paper on fossils. Stacy also helped out with it since she was with Angie on the EVA where they observed the fossils. We started Maddie's sketch of her bow and arrow for one of her classes. Gino finished his language packet today as well so we will have to make up more work for him for the remainder of the mission. We went to the lab to work on Maddie's bow and arrow using resources that would normally be thrown away. I took all of the kids down to the lab to work on it as I thought it would be nice to have a change of setting. After lunch we did our daily journals and shared them with the other F.L.A.M.E. students. We also got started on their slideshow projects, and got all of the pictures uploaded to my computer.

The kids are for sure into the routine, although they are getting more and more unwilling to do their work, so it is getting harder to keep them motivated. They are also starting to finish up their work so I think that they feel that it is time to slow down and don't need to rush. All in all, it was a good day and I think the kids are doing very well.
