Commander's Check-In
Digby Tarvin Reporting
Crew Physical Status: The crew member with limited mobility is improving, but still not able to take part in EVAs and is moving with caution. The rest of the crew is healthy and morale is good.
Brief Narrative of Mission Results: Monday began with a visit from Don Foutz, who delivered and installed the replacement HAB computer. He also supplied the missing fuel knob for ATV 2, and indicated that the diesel generator was expected in a few days. The crew then resumed work on several maintenance tasks and we performed our out-of-sim ATV familiarization. In the afternoon all healthy crewmembers participated in an out-of-sim navigational exercise to practise navigation and radio procedures.
Plans for Tomorrow: This will be our first day in sim, and will include further maintenance work, planning and scheduling for our science objectives and a local ATV EVA.
Report Transmission Schedule: The reports that are going to be sent this evening will be:
- This check-in report.
- Commander's Report.
- EVA Report
- Geology Report.
- Journalists report.
- Engineering Report.
The reports will be submitted by 21:00 this evening.
Inventory: Food stocks are good. Fuel is good. We have identified a shortage of AA batteries, as most of the radios are equipped with disposable types and we are now using the supplies brought by the crew.
Support Requested: Instructions for sending pictures using the Hab computer. Require resupply of NiMH and disposable AA batteries. Additional battery charger.
