Log Book for March 15, 2004
Commander's Check-In
Reece Lumsden Reporting

Crew Status: The crew remain extremely motivated and in very high spirits.

Daily Recap: Today saw the introduction of the first EVA for crew 26. This EVA was conducted without regard to time so that all concerned were as comfortable as possible with wearing the space suits. Communications with the crew from the hab (via the comms gear) were problematic and we are looking into ways to improve them.

Other activities such as GreenHab and generator maintenance (oil change) have now become familiar to the crew and are now routine.

The "Cogstate" human factors study has been started by the crew with reports being submitted every three days after completing the online testing.

Tomorrow's Plan: Tomorrow we will enter a full day of simulation (in every respect), during which there will be one EVA on foot.

Daily Reports: The standard reports should be in tonight by 21:30. The preliminary EVA and science reports should be tonight, with the final versions coming late tonight or early tomorrow.
