Executive Officer's Report
Richard Humphreys Reporting

The crew went back into partial simulation mode today, most of the crew catching up on their experiment reports to be submitted to their relevant institutes. Jamon completed a lot of work on the EVA suits and communication devices to try and improve on their performance. Edwin adapted his robot ready for a further attempt later in the week. Seeds were planted in Martian soil and placed into the GreenHab. Susmita conducted further human factor experiments, asking for crew's opinions of each other, confidentially of course. Most crew have requested to defer this part until the end of the rotation as the crew are getting along so well at this stage.

The day was badly needed for people to catch up on their work and it revitalized the crew to maintain the extremely high moral and motivation that has existed through the week.

Having been told to move the ATV fuel away from the Hab it became apparent very quickly that pressure was building up inside the fuel containers due to the heat. Jamon and I constructed a temporary shelter to shade the containers and Little Genny. This was another example of the team spirit that currently exists within the crew for as soon as the other crew members saw what we were doing they all came and assisted.

Jamon, Reece, Edwin and Richard then went to confirm way points in anticipation for more detailed EVA's to come. While the male contingent were away Heather and Susmita took the opportunity to have a shower. Spirits are high and we are all looking forward to our three days in full sim.
