Log Book for March 23, 2004
Commander's Check-In
Reece Lumsden Reporting

Crew Status: The crew are tired but in high spirits.

Daily Recap: Today was the second day of our five days in full simulation conditions. We had a full day scheduled and were able to complete only one of the two EVAs that we had planned for due to a dust storm:

EVA-1: Jamon and I went to the site of a communications repeater station but were unable to physically locate it, although we were in the locality of the station. We had the opportunity to view some interesting rock formations and completed blood pressure and pulse readings at several times throughout the EVA.

EVA-2: Richard, Edwin and Susmita were scheduled to continue a documentary that Edwin is making for his colleagues and students back in Belgium. Due to the closing dust storm, they were unable to complete their EVA outside.

Tomorrow's Plan: Tomorrow we have two more EVAs planned, to try and locate the repeater station, deploying Edwin's rover (unable to do today due to the storm).

Daily Reports: The standard reports should be in on time tonight around 2230.
