Log Book for March 25, 2004
Commander's Check-In
Reece Lumsden Reporting

Crew Status: The crew are functioning well and are in very high spirits.

Daily Recap: Today was day four of our five days in full simulation conditions. We had a full day scheduled to the participation in a documentary to be produced by August films, the director of which is Scott Gill. We had a fabulous day participating is such scenes as:
  • Dust storms
  • Filling sandbags at Martian sunset
  • Traversing the Martian landscape
  • Climbing inclines on Mars
  • Waiting out solar storms in a secure area in the spacecraft
The documentary filming finished at around 1900 after which we invited Scott and his colleagues back to the hab for some refreshments. Given that we had built up such a rapport with the film crew over the day's filming, we were somewhat sad to see them leave in the evening.

Tomorrow's Plan: Tomorrow we will try to deploy Edwin's rover and conduct one exploratory EVA.

Daily Reports: The standard reports should be in late tonight due to the complete occupation with the film crew all day.
