Log Book for March 26, 2004
Commander's Check-In
Reece Lumsden Reporting

Crew Status: The crew are functioning well and are in good spirits despite the frenetic tempo.

Daily Recap: Today was the completion of Phase 3 of our full in simulation conditions. The two EVAs that were conducted today were:

EVA 1: Edwin, Heather and I went on an EVA to deploy Edwin's rover. We had previously tried to look at the design of a boom and pulley system to deply Edwin's rover but unfortunately due to the full schedule we had not had time. We found a suitable cliff face to deploy the rover and started to prepare it. Unfortunately, we discovered that we were not able to deploy it as the tether system had been tangled due to the previous deployment. Thus we returned back to the hab after packing the rover back up.

EVA 2: Richard and Jamon went on an EVA to mark a few critical waypoints at the intersection of various ATV tracks. They also took the opportunity to explore some of the areas that had not been explored in previous EVAs.

Tomorrow's Plan: Tomorrow we will conduct a complete clean up of the hab in the morning session and then in the afternoon, I will give the crew discretionary time to take the opportunity to get some last minute photographs and perform some last minute EVAs. We will then await the arrival of crew 27, which we expect at some time between 1600 and 2200.

Daily Reports: The standard reports will be in a little late tonight:
