Log Book for March 26, 2004
GreenHab Report
Richard Humphreys Reporting

Readings:

Time: 10:00 (South vent fan operating)
Inside Temp: 70 degrees Fahrenheit
Outside Temp: 65 degrees Fahrenheit
Relative Humidity: 61%

When I went to take my mid day readings I found that the strong winds had damaged the GreenHab door, causing the thermometer to be thrown into the room. I fixed it and replaced it however the winds did not ease off and I was unable to keep it on the door for enough time to obtain readings for the rest of the day. I have used the astronaut's friend, duct tape, and secured it to the door so I should be able to get sufficient readings for tomorrow.

Maximum Temp: unreliable reading (new thermometer not working)
Minimum Temp: unreliable reading (as above)

Normal chores in the GreenHab were performed on each of these occasions.

Both aerators are working, one is in Tank #2 and one in Tank #4.

There were minimal Suds in Tank #2.

All plants were sprayed with water on each visit and fed.

The sump pump is connected to a timer which activates the system at 12:00 hours and 00:00 hours.

Water level in the plant buckets is about 3cm from the top.

The water level in Tank 5 has fallen to about 10 cm below normal, with no flow from tank #4 to tank #5. The crew have been advised to increase their water usage.

The plants added to tank #4 seem to be doing well.

I have been asked to supply the data logger information which I would love to do, however I have been trying for a fortnight now, and I have followed Mission Support's advice to the letter and tried to follow the program manual however the computer will not accept the information, saying that it is not connected properly. The connector is connected fully and is working, having tested the cable on other items. Any further advice will be more than welcome.
