Commander's Check-In
Alejandro R. Diaz Reporting

Crew Status: Members of Crew 27 continue to be very excited and motivated to be here at MDRS.

Daily Recap: Today in the morning (9:00am) we had a visit from Don Foutz. He was very helpful in providing us answers to general questions we had about the hab. After Don left, we had a crew meeting in which crew responsibilities were assigned. We also proceeded to list tasks that we felt needed to get done prior to going into sim. After lunch, McCarthy, Russell, and Foltyn trained remaining members of Crew 27 (Diaz, Wardlow, and Collins) on the hab, Greenhab, generator, EVA and ATVs. Lastly, per a request by Don Foutz, we successfully moved the generator behind a set of rocks. This was an arduous task that, all together, took around 3 hours and also the full cooperation of every member of Crew 27.

Tomorrow's Plan: Tomorrow morning we will proceed with identifying tasks that we feel need to be completed before we go into full sim. Furthermore, we will work at identifying our mission objectives and prioritizing them. Lastly, we will continue to familiarize ourselves to the hab.
