EVA Report

Duration: 07:30 - 09:00(Radio Checks) 13:00 - 14:00 (Equipment Familiarization)

Participants: All of Crew 27

Equipment: ATV's, Radios, EVA suits

Route: Local Area Only

Objectives/Work Done: Checked all radios for functionality. Trained on Hab central command unit for systems communication. This EVA was to familiarize the crew on EVA suit procedures and ATV safety. We went through the step-by-step procedures for safe EVA suit operation and use. Went through ATV operations and safety test drive.

Weather: Clear and Sunny.

Lessons Learned:
  1. ATV operations and vehicle safety
  2. EVA Suit Operations and procedures
  3. Radio Check proved only 6 radios work.
  4. The headsets and ear buds are functional and we have confirmed 5 operational units at this time.
