As Hab power was still out this am, Greg D. switched the system to solar and the GreenHab has been kept up throughout the power problem.

Gus and Kathleen cleaned the north end (nursery) and consolidated/arranged the GreenHab materials/supplies.

Gus mounted the existing PVA in the north in end, and installed the Salad Machine in the north end and set the timers.

Tank 5 is now depleting too rapidly due to the low level of Tank 4, so we are conserving toilet flushes until this is back to normal.

Open Issues:

Yesterday we placed a 5" diameter perforated pipe under the plastic covering of the Trickling Filter tanks to allow for greater airflow, but as the 1-3" clearance as suggested by Crew 27 was not achieved, we may consider a better solution in the coming days.

TST Float Switch: Crew 27 found the silver float switch, engineering will do this in the coming days, per instructions.

Tacking down loose wires: will be done in the coming days.

Yellow Laptop as part of HOBO logger system: The yellow laptop hab computer has some port malfunction which is preventing the HOBO download. During the HOBO testing, the baud rates were synchronized and correct port selected. The manual suggests that it might have been due to another program on the computer interfering with the Boxcar 4.3 program; Gus will evaluate it in the coming days.

Treatment system appears not to be removing nitrate: we are currently evaluating Crew 27's assessment and proposed action for this issue (see report of 4/10)
