Notes/Comments: The gray water tank has been on the verge of overflowing during the entire mission. It flooded the first night we were here. Frustrated with having to be very careful with gray water production, we decided to pump down the tank to give us some buffer. The rest of the gray water processing system is balanced and running smoothly. The retrofitted pump system for draining the gray water air duct was modified to have a nozzle pointing down below the pump to be able to drain the entire line. The width of the air duct would not allow for a standard elbow fitting and necessitated carving the nozzle out of a threaded-to-hose-barb fitting. The plumber's glue is drying and will be ready to test tonight. See the photo of the system on WebDAV.

GreenHab:

Status: Noticed that the GreenHab heaters were not working. Is there any report indicating that they were turned off? Tried unsuccessfully to re-light the pilot light to turn them back on. There is no smell of gas and no GreenHab shutoff valve was found. Any suggestions for starting the heaters? Applied Neem oil to the Water Hyacinths and the crops were fertilized.

Notes/Comments: Trouble shot ATV-1 and 2 again today. ATV-1: the hose from the carburetor to the engine was cracked so it was replaced with the one from ATV-3. The one from ATV-3 and ATV-1 are also looking bad and should be replaced, but they do not have holes in them yet. ATV-1 is running well and is usable now. Upon further investigation it was found that the jet needle was reinstalled askew during the last cleaning. It was realigned and re-tuned. The ATV runs now, but not fast. The top speed is still ~15mph and there is a lot of blue/white smoke in the exhaust. We believe there is a problem with the head gasket or piston seals - leaking oil into the chamber and pressure out resulting in reduced power to the drive train and burnt oil in the exhaust. The flange mounting the exhaust pipe to the engine was discovered to be loose when smoke was seen coming from the engine. It was tightened. Due to the state of the engine of ATV-2 it is deemed unusable. ATV-3 is still unusable due to the transmission case crack. None of the cleaning that was performed on ATV-1 and 2 was performed on ATV-3, however a photo of the dirty gasoline tank was put on WebDAV.

Miscellaneous Infrastructure:

HVAC: Nothing further to report.

Mars Surface Suits: MSS-3/PLSS-5 used on EVA-9 (Engineering), Duration: 1.0 hrs. Status: No squawks reported. MSS-3/PLSS-3 used on EVA-9 (Engineering), Duration: 1.0 hrs. Status: No squawks reported.

Computers/Networking Infrastructure: Nothing further to report.

Appliances: Nothing further to report.

Data Logger: Nothing further to report.

Upgrade Work: Attempted to cut the rest of the wood for the power converter rack in sim, but a rain storm moved in before we were finished and we were forced to abort the engineering EVA for the second time. Hopefully the mud will dry up tomorrow so the project can be finished.

Notes/Comments: Reinstalled the door to the bathroom cabinet. Put drywall mud on a crack in the drywall in the bathroom.
