Danielle Cormier Reporting

With today being our last day of full sim and with the deadlines for all of our end-of rotation tasks looming, this ended up being a very busy day. Last night, when Paul was visiting, he and the engineering team figured out one of the main problems with the ATVs: a mix-up with the fuel cannisters had occurred in the engineering area, resulting in the ATVs getting filled with diesel (oops!). So this morning, Paul came and drained the fuel tanks of ATVs 1 & 2, with Danielle and Lealem's help. After this was done, ATV-1 ran like a champ, and ATV-2 still ran much too rich, but certainly better than before. This improvement came at a price however, since while siphoning the diesel out of ATV-2, Paul managed to ingest enough diesel to feel queasy for the rest of his visit with us, and he still looked fairly under the weather as he made his way home after lunch.

The afternoon was spent out on the last EVA of our rotation, with all six of us getting suited up to head north of the Hab to an area that's known for having landscapes of an extremely deep shade of red. We took with us Paul's high definition camcorder, which he had lent to us in order for us to take some last shots of our crew and of the wonderful scenery surrounding the Hab.

The rest of the day has been and will be spent working on all of our end-of-mission tasks. And who knows, maybe we'll have time for a few more episodes of Firefly, which has become the crew's favorite TV show.
