Log Book for March 7, 2007
Executive Officer's Report
Stacy Sklar Reporting
Crew Physical Status: We are all well and having a great time bonding with each other. Some of the crew members are experiencing sore throat symptoms.
Time Departed/Returned from EVA: 1400 hrs/1630 hrs
Brief Narrative of Field Mission Results: The crew conducted the first EVA of the rotation to Tank Wash to observe and measure juvenile concretions.
Plans for Tomorrow: EVA to Radio Ridge to document the sink holes within the Jurassic Morrison Formation.
Report Transmission Schedule: XO Check-In, CDR, EVA, Educator, Engineering, HSO, Green Hab Report and Images by 2100hrs.
Maintenance: Early this morning as the commander was washing dishes she realized that their was no water to continue washing dishes. Grant is currently trying to resolve the problem but has a temporary solution of drawing current from the battery charger to fill the internal tank.
EVA Narrative/Data/Interpretations: Observations of juvenile concretions and mass wasting from the recent fluvial dynamics at Tank Wash. Due to NUMEROUS technical difficulties the EVA was cut short by 2 and 1/2 hours.
Inventory: Food supplies are abundant. We are concerned that our make shift cold pantry (2 nd air lock) may not continue to work through our whole rotation.
Miscellaneous: We have tried to look for the Martian flag for the last couple of days but have not located it. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Support Requested: We could use a couple of extra spark plugs for the ATVs.
