Log Book for March 9, 2007
Executive Officer's Report
Stacy Sklar Reporting

Crew Physical Status: One crew member feeling ill who was recuperating in their stateroom most of the day. Another crew member still experiencing cough and congestion. The rest of the crew members are feeling tired and fatigued but well.

Time Departed/Returned from EVA: Two EVAs were planed today but due to numerous technical difficulties with ATVS and suits, the two EVAs merged into one.

Brief Narrative of Field Mission Results: Data was collected at another sink hole within the Jurassic Morrison and two of the FLAME students were treated to the viewing of Gryphaea fossils along Radio Ridge.

Plans for Tomorrow: The children will be taking a field trip for wilderness training with local support. Continuation of Sink Hole documentation within the Jurassic Morrison and fossil mapping along Radio Ridge.

Report Transmission Schedule: XO Ck In, CDR, EVA Report, Educator, Engineering, HSO, and Images by 2100hrs.

Maintenance: Last night the XO and Engineers fixed the clogged toilet.

EVA Narrative/Data/Interpretations: EVA was cut short due to technical difficulties with suits and ATVs. Measurements at another sink hole (the largest one so far 2m depth) was collected. Gryphaea Fossils were also collected by the EVA team with the FLAME students collecting 1:20

Inventory: Food supplies are abundant but we are running low on some lab supplies such as latex gloves and paper towels. Extra belt for ATV. Engineering did find the manual for the ATV with the spark plug number of NGK DPR8EA-9.
