Log Book for March 11, 2007
Commander's Check-In
Veronica Ann Zabala-Aliberto Reporting

Crew Physical Status: The Crew Members are feeling fine. Everyone woke up earlier than they should have according to our martian Sol sleep and wake cycle.

Time Departed/Returned from EVA: Departure: No EVAs planned today.

Brief Narrative of Field Mission Results: N/A

Plans for Tomorrow: We are expecting media to come from The Netherlands tomorrow to spend the next few days with us documenting our days on Mars. The children will resume their classes tomorrow morning after a relaxing weekend of playing music videos, playing games and going to bed late. The EVA room will be cleaned and organized more. At least one EVA will be planned for tomorrow which will be carried our by CDR Zabala-Aliberto.

Report Transmission Schedule: Tonight F.L.A.M.E. will have the following Reports turned in by 2000 hrs: CDR Check-In, CDR Report, Engineering Report, HSO Report, MDRS Science Laboratory Update

Maintenance: Engineer Waller fixed the HSO cabinet as one of the doors fell off. Chief Engineer Westenberg has been working to ensure that all real estate within the Mars Desert Research Station has been utilized by creating hand towel holders underneath cabinets and placing hooks in the kitchen to place cooking utensils on.

EVA Narrative/Data/Interpretations: N/A

Inventory: Items for ATV: Spark plugs and belt, splatter guard for cooking with oil (we already had a few minor burns without one), definitely need can opener, large pitcher for tea or juice, tea pot and tea kettle (see engineering images later tonight), paper towels, windex, latex gloves, dust mask (I can currently only find 5), for the suits we need PTT buttons and filters. For food items the only things I can think of right now are cold drinking items (juice, soda, water) and yeast for making bread.

Miscellaneous: Due to Daylight Saving Time on Earth, we have synchronized our clocks an hour ahead.

Support Requested: Our F.L.A.M.E. Engineers need a schematic of the GreenHab systems (Please CC in the reponse transmission to Sklar and Zabala-Aliberto on this issue). Dirty laundry (dish towels and the like) will need to be picked up tomorrow to be ready for the incoming Crew.

Veronica Ann Zabala-Aliberto
Commander, MDRS Crew 59
