Log Book for March 20, 2007
Commander's Check-In
Emily Colvin Reporting

Crew Physical Status: Tired and a bit dehydrated, I think, but we're drinking more water (and Kool-Aid and Gatorade). The knee injury is doing better. Morale's definitely been better, as we just spent 3 hours trying to get to the Skyline Rim repeater location unsuccessfully.

Time Departed for/Returned from EVA: No EVA

Brief Narrative of Field Mission Results: The Skyline Repeater Access road is no longer there. We combed that area pretty well and saw nothing passable with even our 4 wheel drive truck (the cows were doing okay). We'll send our data to Hugh for addition to the existing databases, but for future reference, that site is no longer accessible (at least, not without a lot more scouting than we had time to do).

EVA Narrative/Data/Interpretations: No EVA

Plans for Tomorrow: Still working the details, but tentatively, there will be an EVA to test the rover, one to begin the geology research, and redeployment of the HF antenna and deployment of the digipeater to Radio Ridge.

Report Transmission Schedule: As soon as we can get them in. Nothing requires immediate attention, so if mission support does not receive and ack them by the end of the comm window, it should be okay.

Maintenance: Jonathan's been continuing work with the GreenHab pumps and Paul came out and looked at Jolly Green again, with no luck.

Food/Essential Supplies Inventory: We're still good, and got a resupply of chocolate today. :)

Miscellaneous: Given the inaccessibility of the Skyline Rim site, we'll be putting our digipeater at the repeater position on Radio Ridge, method to be determined (but I'm aware that Sagan Street is closed, so it definitely won't be that way).

Support Requested: None, unless someone has a good path for a 4-wheel drive truck to the Radio Ridge repeater position.

Commander, MDRS Crew 60
