Engineering Report
Jonathan Murphy Reporting
Generator/Electricity:
Casper Hobbs Meter: NO VALUE SUPPLIED
Voltage: NO VALUE SUPPLIED
Frequency: NO VALUE SUPPLIED
Oil Level: full
Oil Pressure: NO VALUE SUPPLIED
Water Drained: no
Notes/Comments: Gas Generator - ran twice Morning - Filled in morning, ran to emtpy Evening - Started at about 8:00 Paul added half a quart of oil. Turns out the dipstick level that I thought was basically full was a little low.
Wendy: not used
Xantrex Inverter/Dynasty Batteries:
Time - Voltage (Temp Comp) - Load - Temp - Generator Running
14:34 - 22.1 - 8 - 22 - No
20:06 - 23.3 - 6A - 21 - Yes
Notes/Comments: "One Meter" power meters don't update properly. Emily says that the refresh rate fluctuates.
Fuel Status (as of 20:00):
Diesel: Approximate Reading: 3/4
Propane Tank: Approximate Reading: 46% (460 gallons = 1741.3 L)
Gasoline Quantity Remaining: 43 gallons = 162.8 L (-14 gallons since yesterday)
Notes/Comments: Used 6 gal morning, about 7 gal in evening for generator. Used about a gallon for the ATV during ATV training. Main drum is empty, using other drum.
Oil Status:
GenSet Quantity: NaN quarts
ATV Quantity: 4 quarts (no change since yesterday)
V'ger Quantity: 24 quarts (no change since yesterday)
Water Status:
Outside Potable Water Tank Level: 400 gallons = 1514.2 L
Trailer Potable Water Tank Level: NaN cm from the base
Potable Water Meter Reading: 21622.9 gallons = 81851.3 L (+67.4 gallons since yesterday)
Out to Toilet Meter Reading: 6920.9 gallons = 26198.4 L (+18.6 gallons since yesterday)
In to GreenHab Meter Reading: 7705.4 gallons = 29168.0 L (no change since yesterday)
Dishwasher Runs: 3
Notes/Comments: Ran sump through all bioball funnels. Problem with potable water: Dean and I siphoned most of the water from the trailer tank to the stationary tank. Unfortunately, we left the siphons in, and when it got windy in the evening (after the ground tank was almost full) the hoses got blown from the stationary tank, and the big tank drained out to the dirt. I estimate that we lost less than 50 gallons, possibly as few as 25.
GreenHab:
Status: Left pump from graywater to bioballs/plant tanks is installed. Unfortunately, the first tank is so tilted that it spills on the floor before it transfers to the second tank. Will try to jack it up tomorrow and add some shims. UV filter for Toilet Tank: one of the hoses busted loose, and I added a hose clamp. The same thing happened yesterday to two other fittings, and I clamped those yesterday. Tomorrow perhaps I will clamp some other hoses as they bust free, but we are running out of hose clamps.
Crops Watered: yes
Crop Condition: Dean perceives plants to be hopeful. I perceive Dean to be responsible, so good times.
Transportation:
V'ger Used: no
Oil Checked: no
Tire Status: good
Odometer: 184310 miles (no change since yesterday)
Kawasaki ATV-1 Used: yes
Oil Checked: yes
Fuel Consumed: 1 gallon = 3.8 L
Tire Status: good
Kawasaki ATV-2 Used: no
Oil Checked: no
Tire Status: good
Kawasaki ATV-3 Used: no
Oil Checked: no
Tire Status: flat right front tire
Notes/Comments: ATV training today with Paul and Casey. We borrowed Don's blue ATV for the training.
Miscellaneous Infrastructure:
Notes/Comments: Windy day. It might be useful to have a big tub out by the generators to keep stuff from being blown away. In the future, don't leave siphons in the tanks if it's windy.
