Four Survive ATV Boot Camp
Curtis Iwata Reporting

Earlier today, four members of MDRS Crew 60 received training on the Unpressurized Rover (also known as the ATV) in preparation for their "Sim" coming up tonight. The training was given by expert rover driver Paul Casey, who is known for his Spartan ways. The training began with checking the tire pressure of the ATV and on to hands on demonstration on how to ride and operate the ATV. The participants were awed by Paul's graceful handling.

When asked of today's experience, Chief Engineer Murphy shouted, "Rock-and-roll!!!" and began shredding his air guitar. He received top marks from Paul on his mastery of the vehicle, and he was awarded the Candy Mountain Award in Rover Riding and given the title "Hollywood Murphy." Astronomer Tang learned to tame the ATV after some initial difficulty. Once her timidity wore off, she began doing jumps off of the smaller hills shouting, "New! I like it!" She was awarded the title "Cowgirl Tang."

Human Safety Officer Liao seemed a bit concerned for the rowdy manner of the new Cowgirl Tang but was overall satisfied with the ATV training. Soon after whispering, "FAN-FREAKIN'-TASTIC," he vanished into thin air like a ninja. Others claimed to have seen his shadow hopping from hilltop to hilltop in the distance.
