Jonathan Murphy Reporting

Generator/Electricity:

Wendy: not used
Casper Hobbs Meter: 415.6 hrs (+12.8 hrs since yesterday)
Voltage: NO VALUE SUPPLIED
Frequency: NO VALUE SUPPLIED
Oil Level: 3/8
Oil Pressure: NO VALUE SUPPLIED
Water Drained: no
Notes/Comments: Gas Generator - ran twice Morning - Put in 2.5 gallons Evening - Started at about 18:30 with 4 gal I topped off the oil yesterday, and it was down to about half. I'm going to leave it like that tonight and see if it goes down. We may have been overfilling it.

Xantrex Inverter/Dynasty Batteries:

Time - Voltage (Temp Comp) - Load - Temp - Generator Running
8:00 - 21.0 - 18 - 11 - No
13:40 - 24.4 - 6 - 14 - No
Notes/Comments: These little snapshots don't really tell much... I should probably take more readings, before and after the generator starts and when the batteries are full.

Fuel Status (as of 18:30):

Diesel: Approximate Reading: 3/4
Propane Tank: Approximate Reading: 46% (460 gallons = 1741.3 L)
Notes/Comments: Propane seems to go down less than half a percent per day.
Gasoline Quantity Remaining: 30 gallons = 113.6 L (-7 gallons since yesterday)
Notes/Comments: Used 2.5 gal morning, 4 gal evening for Generator.

Oil Status:

GenSet Quantity: 11 quarts (no change since yesterday)
ATV Quantity: 4 quarts (no change since yesterday)
V'ger Quantity: 24 quarts (no change since yesterday)
Notes/Comments: Paul: Are there any types of oil that cannot be used for specific things? We have: 5W-20: 1.5 quarts 10W-40: 3 quarts 20W-50: 11 quarts SAE 30: 4 quarts

Water Status:

Outside Potable Water Tank Level: 340 gallons = 1287.0 L
Trailer Potable Water Tank Level: NaN cm from the base
Potable Water Meter Reading: 21711.5 gallons = 82186.7 L (+41.1 gallons since yesterday)
Out to Toilet Meter Reading: 6969.8 gallons = 26383.5 L (+25.9 gallons since yesterday)
In to GreenHab Meter Reading: 7705.4 gallons = 29168.0 L (no change since yesterday)
Dishwasher Runs: 2

GreenHab:

Status: Today the TST stopped filling. The first TST filter was completely filled with gunk, and I replaced it. I'm not sure if it was the correct filter, though: the filter housing is labeled "pleated", but I think I put in a "fiber" filter. I think that's what was in there already, though. It works fine now. It's probably getting gunky faster than it would normally because it has to deal with straight graywater.
Crops Watered: yes

Transportation:

V'ger Used: no
Oil Checked: no
Tire Status: good
Odometer: 184310 miles (no change since yesterday)

Kawasaki ATV-1 Used: no
Oil Checked: no
Tire Status: good

Kawasaki ATV-2 Used: no
Oil Checked: no
Tire Status: good

Kawasaki ATV-3 Used: no
Oil Checked: no
Tire Status: flat right front tire

Miscellaneous Infrastructure:

Mars Surface Suits: Used once for Geology EVA. PLSS 3 is not working, and the PTT button on helmet 2 is not working. Erik has been adding our PTT buttons to several helmets, but they will be removed again before we leave.

Notes/Comments: I cleaned out the toilet today. I disassembled it and cleaned the pump/masticator. It was completely filled with wads of old toilet paper, which is why it was spraying water (etc.) everywhere when it flushed. Now it just whirrs and flushes. Fortunately, spraying feces and urine all over the bathroom is not an actual design feature of the toilet. I also added teflon tape to one of the fittings, because it seemed to be leaking slightly. Hopefully now we can get the bathroom odor under control.
