Log Book for March 27, 2007
Commander's Check-In
Emily Colvin Reporting
Crew Physical Status: A bit windburned and dehydrated (as usual), but good.
Brief Narrative of Field Mission Results: The idea was to get the ground plane out and take some more ground measurements. Unfortunately, the weather thwarted this and forced the EVA in early.
Plans for Tomorrow: Still taking stock - we lost the telescoping tower (it may be salvageable) for the HF and we may need to chase down stuff that blew away.
Report Transmission Schedule: As soon as we can get them in - I'm not sure what all will be out, but expect at least CDR log, engineering, EVA, and pictures.
Maintenance: We were just hiding inside today - we had a monumental storm (winds gusting to 50mph +).
Time Departed for/Returned from EVA: Departed 1125; Returned 1216
EVA Narrative/Data/Interpretations: See EVA report, but they definitely didn't get done with their objectives - they worked through wind, but then it was about to start to rain, so they came in.
Food/Essential Supplies Inventory: Almost out of hot chocolate, but I think we'll live.
Miscellaneous: The storm was an experience - definitely the worst I've been in out here.
Support Requested: None
