Commander's Check-In
Emily Colvin Reporting
Crew Physical Status: Tired. We had a late night. And I, at least, am a bit sad to be leaving.
Brief Narrative of Field Mission Results: Today was just a continuation of yesterday, with the addition of cleaning. The bathroom has now been thoroughly bleached (floor, wall, toilet - but not too much in the toilet, because I don't want to screw up the septic tank) and now smells better. People have been working on individual projects, trying to get them finished before we leave.
Time Departed for/Returned from EVA: No EVA.
EVA Narrative/Data/Interpretations: No EVA.
Plans for Tomorrow: Departure at 10:00am for SLC to head back to Atlanta.
Report Transmission Schedule: Jonathan's working on the engineering report now. I think the only reports will be engineering, journalist, and this, because we'll undoubtedly be busy once C61 gets here.
Maintenance: Dean is building the other shelf in the GreenHab. Jonathan's working on something in the GreenHab, Erik is returning the suit helmets to FRS radios (and fixing a lot of them), and Curtis and Elizabeth have finished up most of the engineering inventory. I've got the Hab end of the GreenHab sensors connected and I'm waiting on the soldering station to connect the other end (a temperature sensor and one of the water meters - the other doesn't have a pulse output). I also dissected the upstairs One Meter display, and I think we may get some better functionality out of the buttons now. We've completely disconnected the three 12V parallel batteries that were down in engineering as a backup to the 12V system and removed those wires. I'm using that hole in the DC fusebox to pass wires through for the 24V-to-5V source for my power meter. The 24V-to-12V system is completely wired (although not yet connected to the batteries), with fuses and such (we got a master soldering lesson from Paul last night). We'll try to bring those online tonight.
Food/Essential Supplies Inventory: Starting to run a bit low on food, as we've been trying to clear this place out of some of the random stuff. But we didn't want to leave a lot of food, as 61 is the last of the season, so it's good!
Miscellaneous: Expect to see power outages tonight as we start working on the DC conversion system. No way is anybody sticking fingers in that disconnect without a total power-down.
Support Requested: None, unless Paul wants to come out to see the DC system (and my little One Meter) come online.
