Commander's Check-In
Chip Shepherd Reporting
Crew Physical Status: Excellent.
Brief Narrative of Field Mission Results: We completed GPS and part of ATV training yesterday (ahead of schedule), and finished the rest today. Completed EVA training. Dealt with a few plumbing-related incidents. Pablo and his crew will again dine with us, and will deliver a presention about their project. Suit inspections are partially completed.
EVA Narrative/Data/Interpretations: N/A
Time Departed/Returned from EVA: No EVA today. EVA training completed, though.
Plans for Tomorrow: Support NDX-1 suit demonstrations. Biology and Geology will scout possible locations for their future EVA. Prepare for the sim to begin that evening.
Report Transmission Schedule: There'll be no EVA report. Other reports should be ready between 8:30 and 9:00.
Maintenance: None today.
Food/Essential Supplies Inventory: Because our supply procedure was unorthodox two crewmembers made a supplemental run today to fill holes in our supplies.
Miscellaneous: We had some plumbing-related incidents today, but all have been taken care of and we are currently stable and fully operational. Flash report was filed with Mission Support and Engineering. More details will be in Engineer's Report.
Support Requested: Nothing, other than those sent earlier today directly to Mission Support (by the way, I'm very impressed with the job Julie's been doing!). For purposes of record, they were:
- Belgium National Radio has requested an interview with P.J. (and me, but mostly P.J.) over Skype for tomorrow morning. We requested permission for Go/No-Go.
- Request related to crew website was relayed.
