Chip Shepherd Reporting
We bid God Speed to our SUNY students very early this morning. Weather didn't allow an EVA, so we got a number of things done around the Hab.
Nischom and Sandy Silverman arrived to work on the GreenHab. Trouble was, we didn't know they were coming. Still, we looked at their list of planned tasks, and agreed with them to proceed with work that wouldn't risk critical functions (like toilet supply water) until we received verification from MDRS mission support, which came before long. In all, they completed an impressive amount of work, including inventory, pictures, diagrams, dead plant removal, and pest control.
The Easter Bunny visited us overnight, leaving us hollow chocolate bunnies and Belgium chocolate eggs (the BEST!). We had a few visitors this morning, but the weather today has brought intermittent rain and we haven't seen anyone this afternoon.
Another medal was awarded today to Paul for the many things he has done to help this rotation. It would have been a lot more difficult without his assistance. The man's our hero!
Crew, resources, and plans are in good shape and we look forward to launching our second week.
