Log Book for April 10, 2007
Commander's Check-In
Chip Shepherd Reporting

Crew Physical Status: Couldn't be better. Flexium Gel cures all, as do cheeseburgers.

Brief Narrative of Field Mission Results: Broke sim to perform fresh water re-supply. Entire crew participated. Successfully brought back payload that was appx 50% of full capacity, enough to get us to end of rotation. Will now attempt to fit in planned EVA.

Time Departed/Returned from EVA: 6:45 planned departure. 8:00 return.

EVA Narrative/Data/Interpretations: Not performed yet. Plan to simulate injured crewmember and test operation procedure developed by Alex.

Plans for Tomorrow: Conduct suited ATV training for crew at nearby ATV training
field. Conduct afternoon EVA to simulate injured crewmember with special stretcher. Use scale to measure EVA suit components.

Report Transmission Schedule: Expect reports between 8 and 10 pm, due to lateness
of EVA.

Maintenance: Fresh water re-supplied.

Food/Essential Supplies Inventory: Very good.

Miscellaneous: Real proud of the crew's performance in the water operation. None of us has even observed this operation before. All played a part, were well prepared for contingencies, and kept an eye out for each other every step of the way. Took the opportunity to share a meal at the Hanksville Burger Shack, too. Great shakes!

Support Requested: If you hear from Don or Paul, we are interested in knowing how they're doing, and please pass along our best wishes.

Chip Shepherd
Commander, MDRS Crew 61
