Cheryl Wartman Reporting

Project:
Biology
Water quality analysis in a martian environment: LC50 Daphnia
magna exposed to GreenHab effluent

Personnel:
Cheryl Wartman

Operations Data Collected:
Cleaned the bench top autoclave. It appears that agar boiled over in
the bottom and was not cleaned out. I also drained the reservoir and
disinfected it.

Technical/Equipment Issues:
Yesterday I received verification from Don that the daphnia have been
misrouted and will not arrive until Monday. I fear that by that time
they will not be alive. I have written Science Kit to request a
replacement shipment of daphnia. Currently, I am waiting for a reply.
I had planned to allow the daphnia to acclimate for 24 hours however,
this may have to be altered to allow for at least one exposure.

Discussion:
Water test kit did not include a test for water hardness. Samples will
be taken for analysis at a later date.

Questions for RST:
None at this time.
