EVA #13 Report

February 9, 2008

Anna Grinberg

Time:
Departed: 8:00 Returned: 9:42

Crew Members:
Anna Grinberg and Perry Edmundson

Site Location:
Hab Ridge

Transit Mode:
on foot

Objectives:
To finish the estimate of the distance between the Hab and Hab Ridge
repeater station so that we could order cable for an internet
connection via Hanksville.

Lessons Learned:
The distance between Hab Ridge is 320m, or 1050 ft. Arthur is a master
at organizing long pieces of rope so that they can be laid efficiently.
Japanese film crews are easy to work with, but it takes a long time to
measure distances when one crew member is a film star. I personally
learned that my left arm is much less strong than my right arm, due to
30 minutes of waving to the Japanese film crew on the helicopter.
