EVA Report
Kerry Cupit Reporting

EVA #21 Report

Time:
Departed at 14:30; Returned at 18:06

Crew Members:
John Thaler, Perry Edmundson and Kerry Cupit

Site Location:
Factory Bench

Transit Mode:
Pressurized vehicle (truck) and by foot

Objectives:
Collect samples for extremophile project.

Lessons Learned:
Able to conduct a truck EVA in-sim by assuming vehicle is pressurized.
Power management of suits is a significant factor when trying to manage
four EVAs in one day, as two of the three suits on this EVA died on the
return trip to the Hab.

Learned more about the geology of the area west of Skyline Rim -- in
particular, the large-scale north-south parallel anticline and the
hogback ridges resulting from it, and the regional stresses responsible
for it.
