MDRS Smart Small Logistics Container


Personnel:
Arthur Guest (Crew 66) & Phillip Cunio (Crew 67)


Operations Data Collected:
The SSLC was operational all day without difficulties. Further
discussion took place between Arthur and Phillip in order to iron out
the details for having the system fully operational for Expedition
Epsilon as well as recording methodologies. The container is currently
plugged into a wall-socket (as opposed to running off batteries) and
this appears to be the optimum set-up for when the container is not
being moved.


Technical/Equipment Issues:
Progress has been completed on reprogramming the trouble RFID tags. I
have received the required software, which I will not download until 1
AM this morning to not cause internet issues. Hopefully this will
increase the amount of RFID tags from 12 to 100+ and allow full testing
of the system. I will report tomorrow on the results of the
reprogramming.


Discussion:
The next task is to reprogram the RFID tags so they are compatible with
our system. Unfortunately, this will need to be done one at a time and
will be a full day's work.
