Operations Data Collected:
Four samples were collected from Factory Bench evaporite deposits at
four separate sites. Each site was located along a dried river bed
running east-to west. The sites became progressively damper as we
approach an intersection with a flowing river.

S3: UTM (NAD 27) 12 S 0504907 4260844 side of dried river bed

S4: UTM (NAD 27) 12 S 0504897 4260855 moist mud surface next to river


Technical/Equipment Issues:
Again had difficulty flaming instruments in wind and non-wind
situations. The first sample was not sterilized by flame due to
difficulty with instruments. All subsequent samples were properly
sterilized.


Discussion:
Further sampling will occur tomorrow.
