Commander's Report

February 14, 2008

John Thaler

Today we went on an exploration mission (out-of-sim) to Capitol Reef
Park. We visited the visitor centre and increased their daily number
of visitors from 6 to 14. We hiked up a trail that had switchbacks,
slot canyons and lots of fun picture taking and climbing opportunities.
We also visited Hickman's bridge which is a huge natural rock arch.
When we finished the trail we had 1.5 hours to get Anna to Green River
to take the bus back to SLC. She has to fly out because she is meeting
the astronauts which are returning from the ISS to conduct research.
We drove at warp speed and arrived in time for her to catch the bus.
Since we were in Green River during normal report time we've submitted
the bare minimum of reports (Commander, Engineering) and the Journalist
report will be submitted tomorrow. Tonight we will all sleep soundly
as we had a busy and exercise filled day.
