Commander's Report
Randall Shelaga Reporting

Day 5 of Boot Camp started with us waking up to another damp and cold
day.
There was some rain overnight, with 60% probability of
precipitation during the day. It was decided to cancel todays EVAs.

The Engineering Team took advantage of this "downtime" to continue
their work on the Dual Generator Fuel Supply system, which was
commissioned early today. With a full tank of Diesel, and the new fuel
lines in place, the Primary Generator ("Wendy") was restarted and the
Station is now on full power. Not to rest on their laurels, the team
proceeded to start troubleshooting the problematic Generator Primary
Tank Float System, which they anticipate completing tomorrow.

Guy (Callsign "Kim") has volunteered to take on the duties of Surface
Exploration Systems (SES) Engineer, left vacant by the departure of
Zahra Khan. "Kim" has taken his new duties to heart, currently he is
repairing a tear in one of the Sim Suits, all on-board agree that he
has superior tailoring skills and if all else fails has an alternate
career path.

Meanwhile, our Scientists took advantage of this time to continue their
work in the laboratory.
Multiple attempts to start-up the autoclave
failed, and are subject of a Science Report tonight.

Individual training in the different aspects of Station life and
operations, as well as surface exploration methodologies continues,
with all crewmembers quickly assimilating the information.

Tonight, Chris (Callsign "Lox") will give a presentation on the work he
does when not on analogue Mars...it appears our Chief Engineer has a
shady side to him, he is a Sparky (Electrical Engineer)!

Tomorrow promises to be warmer and drier, which hopefully means a
return to our research program, field training, and hopefully more
tales to recount.

Our reports are done, and supper approaches, I think we may be able to
sneak another episode of "Firefly" into our evening...

Until tomorrow!

Ut Mars per erudio!
