Commander's Report
Veronica Ann Zabala-Aliberto Reporting

We had a very eventful day today. The F.L.A.M.E. students took a field
trip to a site that I have been working on for the past week. They
helped with soil sampling and the collecting of rocks and minerals to
bring back to Earth. I am happy to report that we have enough samples
of concretions, as well as other features of geologic interest, to last
us at least a year to classify when we get back home.

Our Executive Officer and Executive Officer in Training explored Hab
Ridge again today and came back with some interesting specimens. Our
Executive Officer in Training/Mission Specialist has a theory that she
is currently working on with the help of our Executive Officer. She is
really getting excited about studying Exopaleontology and would like to
continue her studies when she can.

Our Security Officer and HSO Assistant accompanied the Chief HSO and me
to a placed where they collected soil samples and rocks. They will
continue their school work for today this evening as class was
postponed in order to do the field trip today.

Our Chief Engineer decided to stay behind and tend to the Hab. He has
been very busy ensuring that our environment is safe and secure and has
been taking instruction from Mission Support's Engineering Team.

Today we went to a local outpost for some last minute supplies for our
Saint Patrick's Day party that we will be having. I will be treating
the F.L.A.M.E. Crew and our Local Support to some corned beef and
cabbage and vegetables. I will be harvesting more vegetables from our
GreenHab tomorrow morning and will be cooking pretty much throughout
most of the day. The Hab will be filled with the smell of Irish food
and music.

Afterwards, we will start to pack up our items that we will no longer
need for the next day or so and pack up our Earth Return Vehicles
(ERVs) and start to clean up the Mars Desert Research Station for the
incoming Crew 69. Friday evening at 20:00 hrs we will be out of
simulation.
