Stacy T. Sklar & Angie Zabala Reporting

Science Report

Project:
Fossil Mapping

Personnel:
Stacy Sklar
Angie Zabala

Operations Data Collected:

Data from one site on Hab Ridge site #10 (4252000N 12 517750E) was
collected. The FDM was used to document this site.

Observations made at these site:

Site 10 (1412m):

1% corrosion, 80% fragmental, 20% disarticulate, <1% bio-erosion (drill
holes), 80% concave up and 20% concave down orientation

Angie continued her hypothesis about comparing bio-eroded fossils at
surface and sub-surface. This test was located at ( 4251994N 12
517744E ). At this site I dug down to 27.5cm into the sub-surface
of HAB Ridge. I discovered that the fossils on the suface and the
fossils at sub-surface were diffrent. The fossils on the surface were
bio-eroded and fractured a great deal. The fossils in sub-suface were
in good condition, they were not as fractured as the fossils on the
surface. The sub-surface fossils were not bio-eroded.

Technical/Equipment Issues:

None

Discussion:

None
