Commander's Check-In
Emily Colvin Reporting
Crew Physical Status:
Still tired and rather cold, but overall, we're doing good.
Time Departed/Returned from EVA:
N/A
Brief Narrative of Field Mission Results:
There was a frolic or two in the snow. And a few trips around for
various engineering investigations.
EVA Data/Interpretations:
N/A
Hab Maintenance:
See engineering report - we have pump issues in the GreenHab. The TST
is not filling. We've filled it manually, enough for now, and we're
going to start taking stuff apart tomorrow.
Report Transmission Schedule:
All should be in on time (we already have the data for the engineering
report), but our internet goes in and out because of the snow. We wiped
the snow off the dish and got signal back, so hopefully that will
continue.
Plans for Tomorrow:
Radio system deployment (check with BLM about Skyline Rim access and
get everything around here set up) and beginning work on the GreenHab
pumps.
Inventory:
We may need new pumps - I don't know what we have around here, and what
will work with what. More information to follow tomorrow, since we're
not sure if our problem is with the pump, the float switch, or what.
Also, we need printer ink. I thought there was some on the way...we
couldn't find any in SLC for that printer...
Support Requested:
Any help we can get on the pumps would be good. Also, at what
temperatures/conditions outside do we need to start the heat tape?
We've never been out here with this kind of weather, so I'm clueless.
Miscellaneous:
It's cold and gross outside, but I think everyone enjoyed the snow and
they're all excited about being here.
