Commander's Report
April 7, 2008
Boris Yim

The Jupiter storm last night / this early morning was recorded by the
radio telescope.
This morning we practiced lab procedures to measure and culture halophile samples. We have used virtually all the science equipment to do the biology in the lab.
We also had a farewell to our professional photographer, and a crew member who has returned to Earth to resume her studies.
In the afternoon, we did an ATV EVA for a full blown halophile sample collection at various sites.
In the evening, a small amount of diesel was found near the generator. It was
shut down in view of the danger of fuel leak. However, the backup
generator could not provide reliable power to the Hab due to frequent circuit braker tripping from receiving too much current.
We dirtied our hands in an attempt to fix the fuel leak. This is our only worry on this peaceful day.
