Science Report: Geology

Today at a northern point, near to Glistening Seas, we observed dark
surface coatings on some large boulders. The dark crust was about 1 mm
thin, and below it at 2-3 mm depth, a discontinuous, somewhat greenish
layer was present, possible cryptobiotic crust. Back at the HAB,
Gypsum crystals were realized by their reflected sunlight during the
ATV travel (similar happened in crew 21: large crystals were realized
from far away by their reflected light).
