Log Book for April 20, 2008
Commander's Report
Henrik Hargitai Reporting

It was planned to go for a long EVA in the morning and deploy Husar
rover in the afternoon.
But strong winds made us postpone our plans: a
gust was measured 61 km/h during EVA14.
EVA13 went to shoot scenic
movie acts, and EVA14 was targeting a closer, biology related site of
possible bacterial activity. Around noon a Guest arrived at the station
from Austria: Florian Selch joined our simulation and will stay for the
next few days. Now our rotation is an international one, or we can say, an
Austro-Hungarian one. Since there are only 3 ATVs, and one is used by
our cinematographer, all EVAs that needs more than 2 scientist
participants have to be done on foot.
The Meteorological Station's software was upgraded remotely from
Hungary with some problems: it stopped transmitting data (it continued
collecting it, since collection is made separately). After 7 attempts
of reprogramming live from Budapest via internet/satellite, it was
succesfully restarted.
We have found at least 6 new big petal white/pink flowers near the hab.
They are precious gifts of nature in such an arid place.
