Mars Desert Research Station
Musk Observatory Training
Compiled by Peter Detterline

Welcome to the Musk Mars Desert Observatory! It is my hope that this on-line manual will help you become familiar with the setup and operation of the observatory prior to your visit to MDRS. When you arrive at the site there is also a powerpoint version of this manual available that will guide you with step by step instructions. You may also feel free to e-mail me with any specific questions you may have regarding the system. At the end of your rotation please make certain that the observatory is set up as you found it. If you make any changes to the system you feel are helpful please make a revision in this guide for other crew members. I wish you clear skies on Mars!
